Veganuary and Sustainable Resolutions For a Greener 2024

Veganuary and Sustainable Resolutions For a Greener 2024

As we venture into 2024,, many of us look for ways to kickstart healthier habits, and our first month, Veganuary - offers an inviting challenge—embracing a plant-based lifestyle for the month of January. But Veganuary isn't just about dietary changes; it's a gateway to a more sustainable and compassionate way of living. This year, let's dive into the Veganuary challenge and set sustainable resolutions for a greener, cleaner future with Miniml's eco-friendly products. Why Veganuary? Veganuary generally encourages a shift towards plant-based diet, emphasising the positive impact on the environment, animal welfare, and personal health. However, we believe that going vegan requires more than just food choices, as animals are used in a wide range of household and personal care products too. With climate change looming large and the need to reduce our carbon footprint becoming more urgent, opting for a plant-based lifestyle, even for a month, can significantly cut down our environmental impact. It's an opportunity to explore delicious recipes and discover new products which are good for you and good for the planet. Setting Sustainable Resolutions Beyond Veganuary, embracing sustainable resolutions is a fantastic step towards a more eco-conscious lifestyle in 2024. It's about making deliberate choices that reduce waste, minimise environmental harm, and promote ethical consumption. From reducing single-use plastics to opting for products that are gentle on the planet, every small change counts towards a bigger, greener impact. Miniml: Your Sustainable Partner   Here at Miniml, we are committed to providing eco-friendly, vegan products that align perfectly with your Veganuary challenge AND sustainable resolutions. Miniml's range of household and personal care products boasts plant-based formulations, refillable packaging, and a dedication to reducing single-use plastic—a combination that embodies the essence of sustainable living. Why Miniml? Let's talk about plastic waste in the UK—a staggering 2.2 million tonnes of plastic packaging used annually, much of which ends up in landfills or oceans, posing a significant threat to our ecosystems. Miniml addresses this issue head-on by offering refillable containers, promoting the Closed Loop System, and minimising plastic waste with every refill. By choosing Miniml, you actively participate in the fight against plastic pollution. Top Miniml Choices for a sustainable Veganuary.   Cruelty-Free Laundry Care: Although there are not many animal-based ingredients in a typical laundry liquid, some brands use animal fats as surfactants. Furthermore, many brands still advocate for animal product testing. Even though animal testing is forbidden in the UK and Europe, some large companies are still required to test their products on animals when selling to countries where this practice is required by law. Miniml strictly adheres to cruelty-free testing, ensuring high-quality formulations that are gentle on your skin, animals, and the environment. Vegan Multi-Surface Cleaner: Make your home sparkle with non-toxic cleaning solutions. Did you know that conventional cleaning products might harm not only your health but also your pet's? Miniml's range, powered by natural ingredients, tackles grime effectively while being gentle on your health and your furry friends. Eco Anti-Bac Spray: Seeking a natural antibacterial solution this flu and cold season? Look no further! Formulated with natural antimicrobial ingredient - lactic acid,  Miniml's Anti-Bac Spray keeps your home germ-free without the use of harsh disinfectants—perfect for a safer, sustainable clean. White Vinegar: The most versatile solution for every home! Miniml's scented white vinegar range offers versatility and effectiveness in a planet-friendly package—ideal for various household cleaning needs. Polish appliances, shine glass, remove limescale, and more! Hair & Body Care: Revamp your personal care routine with Miniml's vegan formulations. Choose from our hair care and body wash range for a pampering experience that's kind to you and the planet. Free from sulphates and parabens, our personal care range will nourish your skin and hair with no harm to you or the planet. It's Time to Embrace Veganuary with Miniml As you embark on the Veganuary challenge and set your sights on a greener, more sustainable year, Miniml stands as your ally. How Much Plastic?! 🤯 Reflecting On a Year Of Sustainability at Miniml

As we wrap up 2023, it's a momentous occasion to look back at Miniml's incredible journey throughout this year. It's been a period of substantial growth, innovation, and unwavering dedication to sustainability that has defined our path. Read ahead to discover incredible news on how much single-use plastic we've saved from ending up in landfill this year! Starting 2023 With a Launch - Good Human Skincare.   We started the year with a significant milestone—introducing Good Human Skincare in January 2023. This line of refillable skincare products isn’t just about personal care; it’s a testament to our commitment to sustainability. Formulated with skin-friendly, planet-friendly ingredients, and wrapped in zero-waste packaging, our Good Human has earned tremendous customer feedback, comparing our products to high-end alternatives. Extending Miniml Range Beyond Humans...   In March, we expanded our commitment to eco-consciousness to our four-legged friends with the launch of our pH balanced, Eco Dog Shampoo. Our aim was to extend the sustainable ethos to every aspect of our customer's life. Formulated with 100% natural Lavender and Chamomile, you can not only maintain a clean and silky fur, but also turn every bath into a relaxing spa session for your pooch.     Building Meaningful Partnerships.   Have you visited our new partners at Barnado’s or Air Ambulance yet? One of our significant accomplishments this year was a collaboration with the Acopia Group, enabling our products to be available in Air Ambulance and Barnados charity shops. This partnership wasn't just about expanding markets; it was about aligning with causes that resonate deeply with our values—supporting sustainability and community initiatives.    Growing Sustainable Community Internationally.   Venturing into new territories, we proudly introduced Miniml in the Netherlands this year. This extension of our product range was a significant step in our mission to make sustainable choices accessible to a global audience. Oh, the use of this wonder liquid is limitless. However, product enhancement remained a priority for us. Let's continue to innovate, inspire, and create positive change. Thank you for being an integral part of the Miniml journey—a journey toward a more sustainable future, with no plastic waste.

Harnessing the Power of White Vinegar: 5 Cleaning Hacks To Change Your Cleaning Game

Harnessing the Power of White Vinegar: 5 Cleaning Hacks To Change Your Cleaning Game

White vinegar isn’t just a kitchen staple; it's a powerhouse of cleaning and gardening too! Important to note, white vinegar is not meant for culinary purposes due to its strength, however, this humble liquid boasts incredible cleaning abilities, competing with a range of commercial cleaning products. Here are five lesser-known yet incredibly effective tips for leveraging the power of white vinegar in your cleaning routine. Not a fan of vinegar smell? We've got your back with our superb innovative scented vinegar range, so you can keep your home sparkling clean, minus the smell! 1. Carpet Stains Vanished with White Vinegar White vinegar is a secret weapon against pesky carpet stains. Blot the stain with a mixture of one tablespoon of white vinegar, one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, and two cups of warm water. Gently dab the stained area with the solution, allowing it to sit for a few minutes. Afterward, blot the area with a clean, damp cloth to lift the stain. This technique works wonders on various stains, from spilled wine to muddy footprints, without leaving behind any toxic residue. 2. Grout Revival Made Easy Reviving dingy grout doesn't require bleach or other harsh chemicals. Create a paste by mixing equal parts of white vinegar and baking soda. Apply this paste to the grout lines using an old toothbrush and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then, scrub the grout lines gently before rinsing with water. The mild acidity of vinegar combined with the abrasive action of baking soda works wonders in lifting grime, leaving your grout lines looking fresh and clean. 3. Weed Warfare: White Vinegar in Gardening Got pesky weeds invading your garden? White vinegar comes to the rescue! Mix equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Target those stubborn weeds with a direct spritz of this natural solution. The acidity of the vinegar helps eliminate weeds but it’s not strong enough to harm the soil or damage established plants. 4. Natural Odour Neutraliser: White Vinegar White vinegar is a natural odour eliminator, making it an excellent solution for removing lingering smells in various areas of your home. Fill a small bowl with white vinegar and place it in musty-smelling areas, such as closets or refrigerators. The vinegar will absorb the odours, leaving the space smelling fresh. You can also use a mixture of water and vinegar to wipe down surfaces that tend to harbour smells, like kitchen countertops or pet accident areas. 5. Sticky Residue? White Vinegar to the Rescue Stickers and labels often leave behind stubborn residue that seems impossible to remove. However, white vinegar offers a simple solution. Soak a cloth in undiluted white vinegar and lay it over the sticky residue for a few minutes. The vinegar will help dissolve the adhesive, making it easier to wipe away without damaging the surface. This method works on various surfaces, from glass and plastic to metal and wood, making it  Safety Measures Using White Vinegar   Dilution: If you buy full strength vinegar, always dilute it to avoid any surface damage due to acidity. However, Miniml’s white vinegar is readily diluted 5% vinegar for all your household needs!  Ventilation: Keep the area well-ventilated to prevent strong vinegar odour. If you’re not a fan of vinegar scent, discover a range of scented white vinegar, Sorrento Lemon or Whild Rhubarb - formulated with 100% natural essential oils, the subtle scents work wonders at masking the overpowering vinegar smell!. Test It Out: Perform a spot test before applying vinegar to delicate surfaces. Is all vinegar the same? From gardening to laundry duties, this staple zero-waste product will never let you down. However, did you know not all vinegar is made the same way? Some brands use petroleum to distill vinegar, making it cheaper for the consumer but unsafe for the environment. We encourage you to choose a product that is naturally distilled and packed in sustainable packaging. What about the packaging? If you use this solution frequently, it’s important to consider how much waste will end up in landfill, whether it’s glass or plastic! Thanks to Miniml’s Closed Loop System, our bulk refills can be sent back to headquarters to be cleaned and reused once empty. Miniml makes getting your refills a breeze whenever you need, either by visiting one of our UK refill stations or subscribing to our refills online. Head to our Closed Loop Page to discover more. Happy Cleaning! 🌟🧼

Keeping Your Little Ones Safe: The Hidden Dangers of Cleaning Ingredients and Non-Toxic Alternatives

Keeping Your Little Ones Safe: The Hidden Dangers of Cleaning Ingredients and Non-Toxic Alternatives

In a world where cleanliness and hygiene are paramount, we often find ourselves reaching for an array of cleaning products to keep our homes spotless. However, it's essential to be aware that some of these cleaning ingredients can pose potential risks to the health of our little ones. That's where Miniml, the champion of zero-waste and non-toxic cleaning products, comes to the rescue with safer alternatives that protect your family while helping the planet. Let's uncover the hidden dangers lurking in common cleaning ingredients and discover the non-toxic substitutes that make Miniml the ideal choice for a healthier home. Harmful Cleaning Ingredients   1. Phthalates are synthetic chemicals commonly found in fragranced products, such as air fresheners and scented cleaning solutions. These substances can interfere with the body's hormones, potentially leading to developmental and reproductive issues in children. Instead of using products containing phthalates, opt for Miniml's phthalate-free and naturally fragranced cleaning alternatives. Our delightful scents come from 100% natural essential oils, ensuring your home remains toxin-free and smelling wonderful.     2. Chlorine present in many household bleach products, can be hazardous if ingested or inhaled by children. Exposure to chlorine fumes may irritate the respiratory system and even lead to more severe health problems. Swap out your bleach for Miniml's non-toxic cleaning products, which can tackle tough stains and disinfect without the harsh chemical odour.     3. Sodium Hydroxide Also known as caustic soda, sodium hydroxide is found in drain cleaners and oven cleaners. This corrosive substance can cause severe burns if it comes into contact with the skin. Miniml’s evergrowing online community has shown that it’s possible to tacke a greasy oven with natural alternatives, such as a non-toxic washing up liquid, white vinegar, and baking soda.      4. VOCs: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are another sneaky danger in cleaning products. VOCs can be found in items like air fresheners, and they evaporate into the air, where kids can easily inhale them. These compounds are linked to respiratory issues, headaches, and long-term health problems. Children are especially vulnerable because they breathe faster. Miniml's non-toxic alternatives are VOC-free, ensuring your home's air is safe for your little ones. Make the switch for their well-being. Non-Toxic Superheroes: Miniml's Cleaning Alternatives Now that we've shed light on the potential dangers, let's explore Miniml's range of non-toxic cleaning products that are child-friendly and planet-loving.       1. Non-Toxic Multi-Surface Cleaner: Miniml's multi-surface cleaner is a true hero in your cleaning arsenal. It effectively tackles dirt and grime while being kind to your child's health. You can confidently clean your child's toys, high chairs, and play areas without worrying about toxic residue. Including natural and sustainably sourced essential oils, Miniml will leave your home clean and smell fresh for days!       2. Plant-Based Laundry Detergent Say goodbye to laundry detergents loaded with harmful chemicals. Miniml's plant-based laundry detergents are gentle on your child's skin and the environment. They're available in various delightful scents, so your children's clothes smell fresh with no risk to skin irritation. Choose from a range of our Fresh Linen or Tropical Coconut scents.       3. Natural Dishwashing Liquid Children love to lend a hand in the kitchen. Miniml's natural dishwashing liquid makes it safe for them to do so. This non-toxic alternative effectively removes grease and grime without exposing your child to harmful substances. Miniml washing up liquid has been voted as the best washing up liquid for grease by Good Housekeeping Institute, proving it works hard on dirty dishes while being gentle on the fragile skin!   4. Zero-Waste Packaging Miniml takes their commitment to the environment seriously. All our products come in eco-friendly, zero-waste packaging. This means you're not only protecting your child from toxic ingredients, but you're also reducing plastic waste, contributing to a cleaner planet for future generations. A Healthier Home for Your Little Ones The safety and well-being of your children should always be a top priority. With Miniml's zero-waste and non-toxic cleaning, laundry, and personal care products, you can create a healthier home environment that shields your little ones from the hidden dangers of harmful cleaning ingredients. Make the switch to Miniml today and join the movement towards a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable world. Your children will thank you, and the planet will too!

A Chat with the Founders: Emma and Scott of Miniml

A Chat with the Founders: Emma and Scott of Miniml

We sat down for a chat with the minds behind Miniml, Emma and Scott. Join us as we delve into their story, dreams, and the quirky journey that led to the creation of Miniml. 🌿💬 1. How did you and Scott meet? Emma: Scott and I crossed paths at Liverpool University while we were both immersed in marketing and business studies. Fate played its role when we were teamed up for a group project. It's funny to look back – our first venture together was a children's vitamin drink idea! But here's the twist – we're not just business partners; we're also a couple, and there's a wedding on the horizon next year! Some people have even mistaken us for siblings, but let's set the record straight – we're not related! 2. Why did you decide to start a business together? Scott: Both Emma and I come from hardworking, entrepreneurial families. We had a hunch from a young age that we wanted to create our own paths. Emma's parents, in particular, ran a successful business together, and her childhood was filled with conversations about the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. It must have been infectious because even her older brothers ventured into self-employment. One runs an organic and vegan supermarket in Leeds, and the other owns a brewery! 3. Why did you decide to start Miniml?    Emma: Our journey towards Miniml began during our university days. Like many, we developed a growing interest in environmental sustainability. We started by using reusable water bottles and coffee cups, trying to reduce single-use items, and supporting our local refill shop (which, by the way, was our very first Miniml stockist!). But we felt that there was room for improvement in the zero-waste household product market. So, on a complete whim, we decided to take a chance on it! 4. So, how was Miniml actually started?   Scott: It might sound cliché, but Miniml had very humble beginnings right in our garage at home. We purchased a 200-litre drum and a paint mixer to whip up our first batch of washing up liquid. We started reaching out to local refill shops in the area and quickly sold out. After a few months, we secured our very first small industrial warehouse and bought a second-hand blending vessel as our list of stockists grew. We rapidly expanded our product range to meet customer demand, and the rest, as they say, is history. Fast forward to today, nearly four years later, and we proudly blend an astonishing 500,000 tonnes of liquid each month from our bustling warehouse, thanks to our fantastic team of 35 dedicated employees who make Miniml what it is today. 🏭🌟   5. Any difficulties you've faced while starting the business?   Emma: Running a business comes with its daily challenges, and it's been a steep learning curve for both Scott and me. Balancing a growing business isn't a walk in the park, from keeping our customers happy to ensuring our team gets the right support, all while being hands-on in every aspect of the business. It's easy to lose sight of why we started, but we remind ourselves of our vision. We're fortunate to have a loyal team that not only understands but passionately supports our vision, which keeps us going during tough times. 6. How do you find working together? Scott: Ah, the million-dollar question! Running a business with your partner is not for the faint-hearted, but it's a perfect fit for us. You can bet that Miniml is the topic of conversation over dinner every night. Even on our time off, we find ourselves discussing future plans, current challenges, and checking our emails regularly. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, I absolutely love sharing the same goal with Emma and experiencing the highs and lows together. We both have different strengths and weaknesses, and we use them to our advantage. 7. What are you the most proud of so far, in regards to Miniml? Emma: I'm really proud of the community we've created. I still can't believe people come back to use Miniml products time and time again around their homes. It's truly baffling and heartwarming. I'm proud that we supply so many independent stockists – they've been instrumental in making Miniml what it is today. 8. What your favourite part about building and working with Miniml?   Scott: Being a purpose-driven business, there's a feel-good factor in what we do. When we sit down and think about the amount of plastic Miniml has saved, it's mind-boggling! It gives both of us a tremendous sense of satisfaction and keeps us motivated to grow the brand. 9. What are your future plans/dreams for Miniml? Emma: Scott is the visionary of the two of us. He's always brainstorming the next big idea (some crazier than others!) and eagerly sharing his creations with the team. Aside from his wild inventions, adding more scents for our laundry range is on the horizon for next year – so keep your eyes peeled for that! In terms of our dreams, we always say we want Miniml to be the go-to zero-waste cleaning brand in the UK. 🌍🍃 Stay tuned for more exciting developments as we continue our mission to create a cleaner, greener world. Together, we're making a difference! 🌏💚🌟

As we find ourselves in the midst of October, with autumn leaves falling, it's a perfect opportunity to embrace the season while keeping your home clean, safe, and eco-friendly. Join us as we explore some essential tips and tricks for mid-autumn cleaning and organising that prioritise the cornerstones of sustainability. 1. Non-Toxic Ingredients for a Healthier Home   Autumn brings along its unique fragrance of crisp leaves and pumpkin spice. Instead of reaching for synthetic air fresheners and scented candles, why not harness the power of nature? Simmer some water with a few drops of natural essential oil blends like cinnamon and clove. To add some citrus aroma, Spray your room and upholstery with Miniml’s Blood Orange Multi-Surface Spray, including a 100% natural essential oil blend. These natural scents are not only safe for your family and pets but also provide a wonderful, seasonal atmosphere. 2. Embrace Sustainable Refillable Packaging   One of the standout features of Miniml is our dedication to a closed-loop system. Take full advantage of this eco-friendly approach by using the refillable packaging options. When you're done with a product, simply return the empty container for free. Miniml will clean and reuse it, eliminating the need for new containers and reducing plastic waste in their supply chain. 3. Declutter and Donate Before you start your mid-autumn cleaning spree, gather your family for a decluttering session. Go through your clothes, toys, and household items. Anything you no longer need or use can be donated to local charities or thrift shops. It's an excellent way to reduce waste and help those in need. 4. Dust and Vacuum Regularly Autumn brings more indoor time, so regular dusting and vacuuming are crucial. These practices not only maintain a clean living space but also improve indoor air quality. For an allergy-prone household, consider switching to a water vacuum cleaner, such as Kärcher. Water filter vacuums not only effectively remove dust and pet hair, but also help you avoid spreading the particles back into the air when opening the filter bag. This powerful device uses water as a filter system, settling all dust and dirt in a container and keeping your environment clean. 6. DIY Autumn Decor   Get creative with your autumn decor! Instead of buying new decorations every year, make your own. Gather fallen leaves, pinecones, and acorns from your garden to craft beautiful centrepieces or wreaths. It's a fantastic way to embrace the season while reducing waste. 7. Eco-friendly Garden Cleanup Don't overlook your outdoor space. Raking leaves and tidying up the garden are essential mid-autumn tasks. Composting leaves and garden waste is an eco-friendly way to reduce waste and enrich your garden soil naturally. 8. Share Your Sustainable Journey Finally, inspire others by sharing your eco-friendly autumn cleaning and organising tips with friends and family. Encourage them to prioritise non-toxic ingredients and refillable products in their routines. Together, we can make a more significant impact on the environment and create a greener, healthier future. 🍂🍁

Sustainable Skincare Tips for Autumn - Featuring Good Human Skincare

Sustainable Skincare Tips for Autumn - Featuring Good Human Skincare

As the UK's autumn season ushers in cooler temperatures and lower humidity, your skincare routine requires a transition to accommodate these changes. But fear not, eco-conscious beauty enthusiasts, because you can still nurture your skin while being kind to the environment. In this blog, we'll explore sustainable skincare tips to keep your complexion radiant and healthy during the autumn season, with a special focus on Good Human Skincare, a brand that aligns perfectly with our eco-friendly ethos. Transitioning Your Autumn Skincare Routine   The transition from summer to autumn can be challenging for your skin. Cooler temperatures and lower humidity levels can lead to dryness and increased sensitivity. Here are some essential tips to help you maintain healthy, glowing skin during this seasonal shift. 1. Opt for Natural and Locally Sourced Ingredients Begin your sustainable skincare journey by choosing products that feature natural and locally sourced ingredients. Good Human Skincare embodies this ethos, with formulations that harness the power of nature. Ingredients like aloe vera, rose water, vitamin C, and amino acids not only nourish your skin but also support community-based agriculture and reduce carbon emissions through local sourcing. 2. Transition to a Richer Moisturiser   With autumn's cooler weather, it's time to switch from your lightweight summer moisturiser to a richer, more nourishing option. If your skin struggles to adjust to frequently changing the moisturiser, choose a product that suits all seasons. Good Human Multivitamin Moisturiser is formulated for all skincare types, therefore it is perfect for all weather conditions too. Formulated with protective vitamin C and Niacinamide, this moisturiser is a must-have tin Autumn and Winter! 3. Don't Forget Sun Protection While UVB rays decrease in autumn, UVA rays, responsible for premature ageing, remain a concern. Continue using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF 30 to protect your skin. If your complexion gets sensitive in the cold weather, opt for mineral sunscreens which form a physical barrier rather than get absorbed into your skin. Bonus fact: mineral sunscreens are safe for the environment too! 4. Exfoliate Mindfully   Exfoliation remains vital in autumn to remove dead skin cells and reveal a fresh complexion. However, over-exfoliating can lead to skin sensitivity and environmental concerns. We find that an eco-friendly exfoliant, such as Salicylic Acid, is a great solution to remove the grime and dead skin cells, without overstripping the natural oils in your skin. Naturally found in willow bark, Salicylic Acid creates a perfect blend when mixed with soothing Aloe Vera in Good Human’s Hydrating Cleanser. 6. Invest in Reusable Skincare Tools Reduce waste by incorporating reusable skincare tools into your routine. Bamboo makeup brushes and reusable makeup remover pads are eco-friendly alternatives to disposable options. These tools, combined with Good Human Skincare's products, create a holistic and sustainable skincare routine. 7. DIY Masks and Treatments Autumn is ideal for DIY skincare treatments. Create face masks using ingredients like mashed avocado, honey, or oatmeal. These DIY masks are not only eco-friendly but also customisable to meet your specific skincare needs. Pair them with Good Human Skincare's zero-waste products for a complete eco-conscious routine. Autumn Spider Invasion: Natural Ways to Keep Eight-Legged Intruders at Bay

Autumn Spider Invasion: Natural Ways to Keep Eight-Legged Intruders at Bay

As the vibrant foliage of summer begins to fade and the air turns crisper, there's an undeniable charm to the arrival of autumn. However, along with the cosy sweaters and pumpkin-spiced everything, this season also brings unwelcome guests into our homes: spiders. Instead of reaching for toxic chemicals, let's explore some natural ways to keep these eight-legged intruders at bay this autumn. Essential Oils as a Natural Spider Repellent Harness the power of essential oils to create a fragrant barrier that spiders detest. Peppermint, eucalyptus, and lavender oils are known for their spider-repelling properties. Mix a few drops of your chosen oil with water and spritz it in the corners of your rooms and around windows and doors. The pleasant aroma will fill your home while sending spiders packing. Did you know that Miniml's cleaning products are made with 100% natural essential oil blends? Choose from a range of natural products that not only make your house sparkling clean, but also keep the little crawlers away. Keep a Tidy Abode Spiders are like tiny detectives looking for hidden nooks and crannies to set up camp. By keeping your home clean and clutter-free, you eliminate potential hiding spots. Regularly dust and vacuum to remove cobwebs and spider eggs, and pay special attention to dark corners, behind furniture, and under beds. Create a Citrus Barrier Spiders have a strong aversion to citrus scents. Take advantage of this by rubbing citrus peels along windowsills, door frames, and other potential entry points. You can also make a citrus-infused spray by boiling water with lemon or orange peels and then spraying it around your home. White Vinegar Spider Spray White vinegar is a versatile natural cleaner and spider repellent. Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, and use it to wipe down surfaces and corners where spiders tend to lurk. The acidic scent deters them from returning. Miniml's Sorrento Lemon Vinegar is a great combination of zingy citrus oil and vinegar, making it a double-strength solution to combat a spider invasion in your home! Introduce Houseplants While you're making your home less spider-friendly, consider adding some houseplants known for their spider-repelling properties. Mint, basil, and rosemary not only add a touch of greenery to your interiors but also deter spiders with their natural scents. Concoct a Natural Spider Spray soap, and a few drops of essential oil (eucalyptus or peppermint work well). Spray this solution around windows, doors, and other entry points. The soap helps the mixture adhere to surfaces, and the oils will keep spiders away. Turn Off Outdoor Lights Spiders are drawn to light sources, as they attract other insects that spiders feed on. Reduce the attraction by turning off outdoor lights when not needed, or consider switching to yellow or sodium-vapor bulbs, which are less attractive to insects. Regularly Prune Vegetation If your garden is close to your house, keep it well-maintained by trimming overgrown bushes and trees. Spiders can use these as a bridge to access your home. By keeping vegetation in check, you limit their access points.   As autumn arrives in all its golden glory, you can enjoy the season without worrying about unwelcome spider guests. By employing these natural methods, you'll keep your home spider-free, all while embracing the comforting atmosphere of the season. So, get your essential oils, citrus peels, and houseplants ready, and bid adieu to the little crawlers the eco-friendly way!
